Next event: Check back here for events planned in 2008. We have had a successful

program so far, thanks to the volunteers at Richland and Cedar Valley.

We plan an even larger event for Fall of 2008.

The Kiwanis Club of Richardson presents the "Artists for Angels" Kiwanis charity program to raise money for the Dallas wheelchair ramp project plus sports programs and activities for children with cognitive challenges in the Richardson and North Dallas areas.

The Challenge:

The Richardson Kiwanis Club started an Angels T-ball program for physically or cognitively challenged children in the Richardson area. These are kids who wouldn’t otherwise have an opportunity to play in an organized sports league. We want to expand this program to benefit more children and spread the program to other towns. We have teamed up with the Richardson YMCA to assist in the expansion of this program.

The Plan:

Get art programs at High Schools and Community Colleges to produce some student art to donate to this worthy program. Donated artwork for charity can be paintings, ceramics, pottery, sculptures, metalwork, glasswork, and crafts. Also, contact independent and professional artists through networks, media contacts and sales outlets to let them know about this opportunity to donate 1 or more items to help these programs.

The Richardson Kiwanis Club will set up shows and sales at local festivals and art venues and sell the donated artwork.

Volunteers:

WE NEED ARTISTS TO CONTRIBUTE ARTWORK! Contact us if you have something to donate. Thank you!

If you have artwork to donate or would like to volunteer time to our sales, please contact Marshall Kregel at mkregel1@tx.rr.com or 972.741.1551 in Richardson.
