different civic organizations now participating, the Dallas Ramp Project has
completed well over 200 wheelchair ramps just in the past year!
If you can donate a few hours or a few dollars, you can have a major impact on the lives of other people and give someone the freedom to be able to leave their home and be a part of the community. April 17, 2004, The Plano and Richardson Kiwanis join together to build ramps around Dallas.
Thank you to Dick Langhammer, of the Plano Kiwanis, for the beautiful color pictures!
| Step 1. The Frame is laid on the ground and all the parts are bolted together. |
Step 2. The bolted pieces are in place and the supports are being attached. |
||
| Step 3. Plywood decking and rails complete the ramp. A beautiful piece of work that took about 3 hours to build. |
Step4. Freedom! She loved the ramp and it worked perfectly for her. |
Below are some pictures from the May 15, 2004 Ramp Building Projects!
Thank you Walter for the pictures!
