What is Kiwanis?

Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen.

Why become a member?

Strength in numbers. Working together with others increases the likelihood of success.  The Richardson Kiwanis Club is an active group of community volunteers who provide services and guidance to children in the Richardson and North Dallas community through programs like Key Clubs, K Kids, and the Richardson Angels Sports teams. Richardson Kiwanis is also a part of a huge program for building wheelchair ramps at homes belonging to financially disadvantaged and elderly people in our city and county. The Kiwanis club is a great organization and we would love to have you visit with us to see what we are all about!

What are our Programs?

The Richardson Kiwanis Club created an Angels program for cognitively challenged children in the Richardson area. In partnership with Richardson YMCA, we are hosting Spring and Fall T-ball games for these kids so that they get an opportunity to participate in an organized sports program. 

Along with a vast group of volunteers, we build almost 200 wheelchair ramps each year for people who are financially unable to purchase one on their own.

Our club sponsors several youth programs in local schools like K-Kids and Key Clubs. We collect toys for kids in the local Children's Hospitals in North Texas, and we collect shoes for kids that don't have proper footwear to start out each year.

Kiwanis is partners with CMN and Unicef, as well as the Salvation Army and our club participates in National programs with these partners.

How you can donate to our programs

The Richardson Kiwanis Club has a Foundation and is a 501(c)3. Your donations are tax deductible. You can mail a check to the address in the right column ---->, or contact us if you have any questions.
